On 15 October 2013, Bellatrix Exploration announced that it will acquire Angle Energy for a consideration of Cdn$576 million (US$555 million). The acquisition - the fifth largest in Canada this year - will result in Bellatrix leaping into the top three Cardium acreage holders.
