Report summary

In 2008, Maersk drilled its first exploration well, Caiundo-1, which was unsuccessful. The second well discovered the Chissonga oil field. The company drilled two more exploration wells in 2009: Omba-1 and Caiundo-1. Both were dry.Maersk has drilled four appraisal wells at Chissonga, which confirmed the stratigraphic and structural complexity of the compartmentalised reservoir.
