Over 1.4 billion barrels of commercial reserves have been discovered within Block 1 Block 2 and Block 3A in the Lake Albert Basin in northwest Uganda. Block 3A is operated by CNOOC Ltd. It contains the 200 million barrel Kingfisher oil discovery which was discovered in 2006.
