In late October 2006 effective from 1 May 2007 new 'Operations Contracts' were signed by all 12 upstream operators in Bolivia as part of the country's nationalisation' programme. A total of 44 new contracts were signed covering all fields and exploration licences in Bolivia (some fields had individual contracts whilstsome fields with a common operator were grouped together).
