Report summaryThe Buchan and Hannay oil fields are located in the South Halibut Basin in the Central North Sea. The Buchan oil field has been developed using the converted semi-submersible rig, Drill Master, built in 1971. Oil was loaded directly into tankers offshore until late 1986 when a pipeline to the Forties field was commissioned. Oil is now transported to the Forties 'Charlie' platform for onward export through the Forties Pipeline System to the terminal facilities at Cruden Bay.The ...
