Report summary

The Calypso gas field is in Block 6 offshore Cyprus, in the East Mediterranean basin. It was the one of the largest discoveries globally in 2018. However, further appraisal is needed to determine the exact size of the field. The discovery confirmed the extension of the Cretaceous carbonate play in which the 2015 super-giant Zohr field (also operated by Eni) was made in Egypt.Eni (50%) operates the field in partnership with Total (50%).
