Chesapeake Energy corporate - reported results analysis

Report summary

A lack of asset-sale announcements or colour surprised us. In our recently published corporate report, we expected potential sales of non-core assets in the Mid-Continent and Powder River Basin to feature prominently in the event's presentation. Instead, both positions were touted as core growth drivers. But comments about potential plans to wait to sell assets after proving up new zones and plays lead us to believe that both positions remain eligible divestiture candidates; though such deals may not materialise until later than we initially expected (H2 2016).
