Cheviot and its satellite field, Peel, lie to the south of Heather in the Northern North Sea. Cheviot is a proposed redevelopment of the decommissioned Emerald oil field, which produced in the 1990's.An Environmental Statement and Field Development Plan was submitted in 2015, but FID has yet to be reached.
