Nostrum Oil & Gas operates the Chinarevskoye oil and gas-condensate field in north Kazakhstan. Chinarevskoye is located 75 kilometres northwest of the super-giant Karachaganak field. Nostrum (formerly known as Zhaikmunai) has appraised and developed the field under a PSC since 1997. Production began in 2000, but only the oil was exploited until 2011, owing to a lack of gas processing capacity.
