The East Al Hajr contract area lies within the Say'un Al Masila Basin a proven oil producing area which contains the prolific Masila fields. East Al Hajr's only successful exploration wells BAK A 1 and BAK B 1 were drilled in 2003 and both tested oil from the Qishn and Saar horizons.
