2014 was a very busy year for the three Chinese NOCs.  CNOOC brought onstream 11 greenfield projects offshore China, Sinopec invested heavily in its Fuling shale gas project, while PetroChina also stepped up its shale gas efforts and fast-tracked the giant Anyue gas field development.
