Report summary

The WA 390 P permit comprises thirteen gas fields discovered in deep water in the Carnarvon Basin around 200 kilometres offshore Western Australia. Multiple commercialisation options have been investigated by the operator including Floating LNG (FLNG) supplying gas to a brownfield onshore expansion or backfill of existing facilities and the domestic market. In December 2015 Hess signed a non binding Letter of Intent with the North West Shelf JV.
