Despite starting production in 1975 the Forties field continues to be one of the largest producers in the UKCS. In 2016, Forties was the fourth largest liquids producer in the UKCS.The Forties oil field has been developed using four main fixed steel production and drilling platforms, as well as a smaller minimal facilities steel platform. In addition to the production platforms, the Forties 'Unity' riser platform was installed in 1992 by BP, to act as a gathering point for liquids ...
