Report summary

The Jiaoshiba shale play in the Fuling block is developed by Sinopec as the first commercial shale project in China. The relatively benign natural fractures and overpressured formation encourage high initial production rates but also widely varying well results. Sinopec is targeting the northern part of the acreage for its Phase One development.
