Report summary
First production from the Shell-operated Gumusut floating production unit, offshore Sabah, was achieved on 8 October 2014. At its peak in 2015, Gumusut/Kakap will produce 135,000 b/d of oil, making it Malaysia's largest oil project, contributing 19% to the country's total liquids output. Over the 20-year project, we expect 500 mmbbl of oil to be produced.
