Elf (now TotalEnergies) discovered the onshore Ganga and Ozangué fields in the 1980s. Perenco brought the fields onstream after it took over operatorship in 1996.Ganga oil production started in 2000 under a limited extended well test, which ended in 2004. Ozangué (formerly called Harelde) started producing gas in 2002. Initial production was used for gas lift at Total Gabon's Coucal field (now owned by Perenco Gabon).In 2006, Ganga began supplying gas to the Batanga power ...
