The GASCO joint venture was founded to process gas from onshore fields in Abu Dhabi. It owns and operates all of the onshore gas processing facilities in Abu Dhabi, including an NGL fractionation plant at Ruwais on the Gulf coast. In 2013, the Integrated Gas Development (IGD) project was commissioned, piping gas from the offshore Umm Shaif field to the onshore Habshan/Bab Complex. The offshore facilities are operated by ADGAS.
