This analysis covers the depleted Gaviota gas-condensate field, operated by Enagás. The field lies approximately eight kilometres offshore in the Cantabrian basin in northern Spain.Gaviota was developed in the1980s with eight wells drilled from a 12 well-slot steel platform. Production peaked in 1989 at 155 mmcfd of gas and 2,860 b/d of condensate; however, output fell sharply during the early 1990s, and the field was shut-in from 1994.
