Report summary

The Ras Budran field is located offshore in the north central Gulf of Suez area, four kilometres off the Sinai coast and 13 kilometres northwest of Abu Rudeis. DEMINEX discovered the field in 1978. The field was developed by Suco and was brought onstream in 1983. The development consists of a central processing platform and three wellhead platforms linked to the onshore Ras Budran terminal.Production has declined steeply since peaking at 44,000 b/d in 1993.
