Report summaryThe Idd El Shargi North Dome is an offshore oil field located about 80 kilometres east of Doha and 20 kilometres south of Halul Island. It mainly produces a mix of heavy-to-medium sour crude oil (sold as Qatar Marine Blend) and associated gas from Early Cretaceous and Jurassic carbonates. To the south is the smaller structure, Idd El Shargi South Dome, which produces less than 5,000 b/d and is also operated by Occidental.
