Report summary

India is by far the largest oil producer in south Asia, but the country is heavily import-dependent. India oil/NGL output is expected to average 882,000 b/d in 2013, which equates to around 25% of its domestic consumption and the government has made efforts to reduce oil import dependence, with limited success.
