INPEX has announced that it will acquire a 17.5% stake in Shell's Prelude floating LNG (FLNG) project in Australia. Our base case valuation of the deal is US$654 million (discounted at 10% from March 2012). No details of the consideration paid have been released. KOGAS is also understood to remain in negotiations with Shell to acquire a 10% stake in the project.Prelude will be the world's first FLNG project.
