Iran oil supply summary

Iran oil supply summary

Report summary

Iran was the second largest oil producer in the Middle East until the impact of US sanctions and a resurgent Iraq saw it pushed down to fourth in 2014.  Crude oil production averaged about 2.8 million b/d in 2014 (plus 558,000 b/d of condensate/NGLs). Output is dominated by a few giant, ageing fields, which have underpinned the national total for the past 30 years.
