Report summary
Jambur is an oil and gas field located in northern Iraq that lies to the southeast of Kirkuk. The field was discovered in 1954 and has been producing oil since 1959. Production peaked at 36,000 b/d in 2010, but is currently assumed to be 25,000 b/d because of the supply restrictions caused by the ISIS militant occupation of northern Iraq. The field is connected to the infrastructure at Kirkuk, where the crude is blended with that of other fields in the region.
