Kangaroo and Echidna are part of Karoon's first operated development project in Brazil. The fields lie within the former S-M-1101, S-M-1165 and S-M-1037, S-M-1102 exploration licenses, respectively.The ANP approved the discovery evaluation plan in late 2015. The first phase of the appraisal plan targeted the Kangaroo discovery.
