KayaköyThe Kayaköy field was the first field discovered by Shell in Turkey. It lies in the Diyarbakir district of southeast Turkey and oil is held in a Lower Cretaceous, Mardin limestone reservoir. Shell made a further three discoveries in the early 1960s, and these became the foundations of Shell's Turkish operation.
