Report summary

The Keimir Area is located in southwestern Turkmenistan and contains three producing fields: Keimir, Akpatlavukh and Chekichler. The majority of reserves are held at Keimir and Akpatlavukh. The area has been the focus of ongoing exploration and appraisal drilling in recent years, with the Kemer gas field discovered in late 2011.Gas from the Keimir Area is exported south to Iran via the Korpeje-Kord Kuy pipeline, while oil is exported across the Caspian Sea from the nearby Ekerem port.
