Report summary

State-owned Turkmenneft operates the Keimir Area in southwest Turkmenistan. It contains four producing fields: Keimir, Akpatlavukh, Chekichler and Kemer. Keimir and Akpatlavukh are the largest deposits.The project has been 100% Turkmen-owned since 2000. This followed a legal dispute between the Turkmen government and Bridas (Argentina). All court rulings were in Bridas's favour, and the Turkmen government paid an undisclosed sum to acquire the company's share of the Keimir JV.
