Kokdumalak lies in the Amu Darya Basin in southern Uzbekistan. The southern edge of the field crosses the border into Turkmenistan. Kokdumalak is Uzbekistan's largest liquids producer and represents around 14% of Uzbekistan's remaining reserves. Kokdumalak was brought onstream in 1988, and is believed to have reached peak liquids production of over 80,000 b/d in the late 1990s.
