The offshore Konzi field was discovered in 1979 by Elf Gabon. Production from the field began in 1984 using two platforms linked by pipeline to the Cap Lopez export terminal. The field was shut-in during 2001 to allow additional crude from the onshore M'Boumba field. There are no plans to re-start Konzi production at present.
