The Kuçova-Arreza oil field is situated in western Albania, within the Albanian Foredeep. The field was initially known as the Devoli field; then was renamed the Qyteti Stalin field, and was finally renamed as Kuçova-Arreza.Azienda Petroli Albania (AIPA) of Italy discovered the field in 1928 and developed it until 1943, drilling over 900 wells.
