Report summary

The Kurovdag field is located onshore Azerbaijan and has historically been the largest oil field in the Lower Kura Province. Kurovdag was first developed during the Soviet era and is now very mature. International operators have undertaken rehabilitation work at the field since 1995, with mixed results. An initial contract was signed with a British company, Whitehall International Traders (later renamed Caspian Energy Group (CEG)). However, CEG was bought out by GCM Global Energy in 2008, ...
