Malobalykskoye lies in the Khanty Mansiisk Autonomous Okrug in West Siberia. It is operated by Yuganskneftegaz Rosneft's largest subsidiary. In 2015 it was Yuganskneftegaz's second largest and Rosneft's fourth largest producing field after the prolific Priobskoye producing 191 000 b/d. Malobalykskoye was discovered in 1966 but challenging geology and low permeability reservoirs relative to many other West Siberian fields delayed its development until 1984. It ...
