Malobalykskoye lies in the Khanty-Mansiisk Autonomous Okrug in West Siberia. It is operated by Yuganskneftegaz, Rosneft's largest subsidiary. In 2015, it was Yuganskneftegaz's second largest - and Rosneft's fourth largest - producing field, after the prolific Priobskoye, producing 191,000 b/d. Malobalykskoye was discovered in 1966 but challenging geology and low permeability reservoirs - relative to many other West Siberian fields - delayed its development until 1984. It ...
