Maten Petroleum operates the Karaarna, Kokarna East and Matin fields in west Kazakhstan. The company has been 95%-owned by Geo-Jade Petroleum (China) since mid-2014, following a US$526 million deal.Aggregate oil production is currently about 8,000 b/d. Karaarna has been onstream since the 1960s, whereas Matin and Kokarna East achieved first oil in 1995 and 2000 respectively.
