MENA upstream month in brief: 4 August 2015
Report summary
Iran and world powers reached a nuclear deal which could pave the way for the removal of sanctions on the oil and gas sector. In June, Saudi Arabia's oil production hit a record 10.5 million b/d and Iraqi exports a high of 3.6 million b/d. However, attacks on Turkish pipelines in July reduced flows of oil from Kurdistan and gas from Iran. In North Africa there were mixed exploration results. Eni made a gas discovery in Egypt, but initial results from Freeport-McMoRan's Moroccan well were dry.
