Report summaryThe Bucchianico exploration permit was originally awarded to Eni in July 1996. The Miglianico oil field was discovered by Eni in 2001, on the coast of Abruzzo region. Miglianico was the largest onshore oil discovery in Italy for nearly ten years. The discovery well tested oil at 1,000 b/d, although hydrogen sulphide concentrations were high (12-54 ppm).
