Report summary

The Bucchianico exploration permit was originally awarded to Eni in July 1996. The Miglianico oil field was discovered by Eni in 2001, on the coast of Abruzzo region. The reservoir consists of dolomitised carbonate turbidites of Upper Jurassic age. Miglianico was the largest onshore oil discovery in Italy for nearly ten years.
