Report summary

The Mutineer and Exeter oil fields are located off the Western Australian coast around 160 kilometres from Karratha. Santos discovered Mutineer in 1997 and Exeter in 2002. The project was Santos' first ever offshore development. Front End Engineering and Design (FEED) work began in 2003 and a development license was granted in 2004. First oil followed in March 2005. The fields have been developed through subsea tie backs to the leased Modec Venture FPSO.
