Report summaryThe Naip Area is a group of 18 state-owned fields in the Amu Darya Basin in eastern Turkmenistan. The group includes 16 gas fields in the northern Amu Darya Basin, close to the Uzbek border. These were very important gas producers in the 1970s and 1980s. Early activity focused on Naip itself, but satellite fields have since been tied-back. Ten gas fields are currently understood to be onstream.
