NC163 (Shatira) is located onshore in Libya's Sirte basin, 15 kilometres southeast of the Intisar fields. The block is owned by Libya's National Oil Corporation (NOC), OMV and operator Cenovus Energy. The Shatira field was discovered in 1982 and remains the only discovery in the NC163 block.
