Report summary

The Nicol oil field lies in Central North Sea block 15/25a 10 kilometres northwest of the Brenda field. The field was discovered in 1988 by Shell but was considered uncommercial at that time. In 2005 Oilexco completed an appraisal drilling programme and the field received development approval in May 2006.Nicol has been developed via a single horizontal subsea well tied back to the Brenda manifold via a six inch diameter export line.
