The North Idku development area comprises two blocks, North Idku and North El Amriya, located offshore Egypt in the Nile Delta. Four Pliocene wet gas fields - North Idku 1-4 - were discovered on the block between 1999 and 2002. In 2005, the operator RWE DEA - now DEA - was awarded an exploitation licence.
