North Platte (GB 959)

Report summary

North Platte (GB 959) is a potentially large Lower Tertiary oil discovery in the Garden Banks protraction area. The reservoir could extend across blocks GB 915, 916, 958 and 959, and the blocks were unitised effective 1 June 2016. The discovery is one of several successes in the Inboard Lower Tertiary trend, which is thought to extend from Walker Ridge into Garden Banks, Keathley Canyon, and Green Canyon.
