Norway oil supply summary

Norway oil supply summary

Report summary

Norway is still a major exporter of oil/NGL and accounts for just over half of overall European output. Liquids production peaked in 2001 at 3.40 million b/d and output has fallen steadily since, reaching 1.84 million b/d in 2013. Looking forward, production is expected to recover slightly and remain broadly flat over the remainder of the decade.  The Johan Sverdrup discovery should lead to a temporary secondary peak for production before steady decline once more takes hold.
