Oxy confirmed the disposal during its Q3 earnings call. The buyer was undisclosed, though earlier reports had linked Lime Rock Resources. The majority of Oxy's position in the Bakken is located in the fringes of the core areas of the play (Dunn, Billings and Burke counties, ND). Oxy had no plans for future development in the area under the current commodity prices. The deal included over 300,000 net acres with a total existing production of nearly 17,000 boe/d (94% liquids, 6% gas).
