SOCAR operates the offshore Oil Rocks field. It lies in shallow water, 10-kilometres northwest of the Guneshli (Shallow Water) field. Oil Rocks is one of the largest oil fields in Azerbaijan and was the first major offshore development in the former Soviet Union.
