Report summary
Otakikpo is an oil field, located in coastal swamp in the southeastern Niger Delta. Discovered by Shell on OML 11 in 1981, it remained undeveloped until it was awarded as a marginal field to the indigenous company Green Energy International in 2011. In 2014, Lekoil acquired a 40% interest including technical operatorship and re-entered the Otakikpo-2 well.In September 2015, test oil was achieved using a 6,000 b/d early production facility.
