Otakikpo is an oil field, located in coastal swamp in the southeastern Niger Delta. Discovered by Shell on OML 11 in 1981, it remained undeveloped until it was awarded as a marginal field to the indigenous company Green Energy International in 2011. In 2014, Lekoil farmed into a 40% interest including technical operatorship and re-entered the Otakikpo-2 well.In September 2015, test oil was achieved using a 6,000 b/d early production facility.
