Report summary

OML 122 is a large block in the shallow water Niger Delta. Five discoveries have been made, but none have been developed. The reserves on Bilabri were downgraded by nearly 50% following appraisal in 2006 and over 70% of total reserves are gas. Peak Petroleum was awarded the acreage in the 1990s under the government's indigenous policy.Participation on the block and the discoveries has been the subject of long-running legal action.
