Report summary

OML 46 is a large block in the onshore southwestern Niger Delta and is part of the NNPC/Shell Joint Venture (JV). The terrain is mostly mangrove swamp and the block is intersected by numerous rivers and creeks. Part of OML 46 lies offshore and includes the mouth of the Ramos River. There are eight discoveries on the block four of which have been developed. Production was shut in in 2006 due to civil unrest in the Forcados area.
