OMLs 83 and 85 are located 30 to 40 kilometres offshore in the central Niger Delta, where water depths range from 15 to 50 metres. OML 83 contains the Anyala field and OML 85 contains the Madu field. The OMLs were originally part of the Texaco/NNPCL JV (Chevron JV). Chevron sold the blocks to an indigenous company FIRST E&P in 2015.
