The Ajapa marginal field is located on OML 90 in the western delta. It lies in nine metres of water near the mouth of the Forcados river. After disappointing drilling results, the reserves turned out to be smaller than expected. The field came onstream in 2010 from a single well, tied into into a 10,000 b/d capacity floating, production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel.
